Khaleda Zia needs treatment for political blindness: Nasim
Terming BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia as politically blind, Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim on Sunday suggested treatment for the sightlessness.

Nasim alleged that Khaleda Zia continues to make falsehood about present government’s stance over Rohingya people while the role of the Awami League government was acclaimed by the world community.

“Khaleda Zia said the government did nothing for Rohingyas. How she as a former prime minister could make such a big lie? Did she do everything for the Rohingyas only in 15 minute? he said.

Nasim made the remarks this while exchanging views with the officials of health and family welfare departments at Chittagong circuit house this afternoon.

He said Khaleda did not go to Cox’s Bazar to convey her sympathy to the persecuted Rohingya people rather she went to carry out election campaign capitalising the Rohingya issue.

The health minister asserted that the Rohingya crisis will only be resolved under Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s leadership through public support and international pressure.

“BNP itself staged the drama of attack on the motorcade of Begum Zia and investigation has already revealed the truth of attack after four days,” he added.

Vice-chancellor of Chittagong Medical University Mohammad Ismail, director of Chittagong Medical College Hospital Brigadier General Jalal Uddin, director health services, Chittagong Dr A M Mujibul Hoque, civil surgeon of Chittagong Dr Azizur Rahman Siddiqui, President of Bangladesh Medical Association Chittagong Dr Mujibul Hoque Khan, among others, spoke on the
occasion. -BSS
